How does The Ultra Wellness Program work?

The Ultra Wellness Program is a course 12 years in the making. Back in 2004, I picked up my first barbell and nose dived into the field of nutrition. 

Since then, I've accumulated thousands of hours of hands-on training with clients, I've been published by some of the largest media brands in the health and fitness industry, and I've also made sure to practice what I teach along the way. 

I've learned a great deal over the past 12 years. But, there was one thing I wanted to craft that I couldn't quite figure out. And that was to build a course that I could teach to anyone - regardless of proximity to where I was located - in order to help them get in the best shape of their life, for the rest of their life. 

For years, I tried many different things to fulfill this need. Although some of what I tried did work, I knew my teaching could be done a lot better. I needed a streamlined curriculum that helped my students master the basics. I needed a curriculum that had built-in daily accountability to make sure my students stayed consistent. I needed a curriculum that taught my students the importance of sleep, mindset, stress management and environment design. I needed a curriculum that helped my students apply what they learned instead just amassing knowledge. I needed a curriculum that was world-class and road-tested.

Precision Nutrition is the largest - and most respected - private nutrition coaching company in the world. And, I'm a graduate of the program.

Meaning, I'm part of a network that is doing meaningful, effective and sustainable work in the health, fitness and wellness industry. It also means that I was a part of building ProCoach curriculum. Thus, I know this material very well not only because I'm a graduate of the program and helped build the course, but because I've built my own health and fitness around the nutritionally agnostic methods I'll be teaching you in the program. 

Today, I want to give you an inside look at The Ultra Wellness Program. A general FAQ is on its way, but for this post, you'll get a glance at the day-to-day coaching flow to get a better feel of what to expect. 

 

1. Daily emails 

Once you're signed up as a student, you'll be getting daily emails from me. In them, you'll be reminded of what you should be working on and thinking about that day. You'll get practical, easy to use resources in the form of articles, assignments, videos and audio clips to help you apply what you learn.  Take a look below to get a visual example of what this will look like:

2. Daily Habits 

The Ultra Wellness Program is a habit-based course. Over the years, I've noticed that dogmatic, strict, and rigid diet plans work for a small amount of people - particularly bodybuilders and competitive athletes.

For the lay person who wants to get healthy, lean and fit, practicing habits allows for enough compliance to yield results but enough flexibilty to sustain them over the long haul. The Ultra Wellness Program introduces a new habit for you to learn and employ every two weeks for the entire 12 month course. When each habit is introduced, I'll ask you to practice that habit everyday. The details of each habit are explained thoroughly on day one of the habit introduction. From there on, you'll be getting a reminder to practice that habit each day. Below is an example of what you'll see in your inbox for your daily habit reminder:

3. Daily lessons and assignments 

To augment your learning journey of building healthy habits, you'll be getting lessons and assignments to complete too. The course takes into consideration your preferred learning method as well. Most of the time, you'll have an option to read, listen or watch the lessons and assignments. These learning experiences help you develop context around the habits your are building. Once you complete the lessons and assignments, you can always go back and reference them too - they will be archived in your student dashboard.  Take a look below at how this plays out in real-time:

4. Regular progress checks 

A large part of the success of any transformation is measuring data - both objective and subjective. The Ultra Wellness Program makes this very simple for you to do. Every few weeks, you'll be reminded to provide a handful of markers to track your progress.

5. Expert designed workouts (with HD video demonstrations) that are tailored, comprehensive and flexible delivered to your inbox every week

The challenge to workout consistency is knowing what to do. And then, the second challenge is managing how much time you have to invest each day into a workout. WE all get busy sometimes, and doing a full 60 minute workout is not an option on some days. With my program we eliminate both of these limiting factors. First, you get a tailored training program that fits your exact needs. These workouts come fully equipped with written description and HD video demonstration. Second, each workout has a full, at-home, or quick version so no matter what kind of day you're having, you have a workout ready for you to do.

6. Beautiful, easy to use student dashboard 

So where does all this data go? It gets captured in your beautiful, easy to use student dashboard. All of your activity will be in once place for the entire 12 month course. This makes your life a lot easier so you can focus on the curriculum and not time-wasting activities like digging for the correct email to send your check-ins to or looking for an old lesson you want to re-visit in a folder buried in your laptop somewhere. Instead, everything you need is easily found in your student dashboard.

You'll also have flexible communication with your teacher (that's me) in the student dashboard too. The software has a built in messaging system where you can message me directly when you need help.

This streamlined dashboard also helps me as your teacher too. Since everything is in one place, I can ensure you're well taken care of because I can easily access all your stats, how consistent you've been and how your body is changing.
