Hey, I'm Brian. 

I started this blog in an attempt to understand life. So unlike many writers or creators, I have to tell you this: I don't write for you. 

I write for myself.  Here's why: 

I work hard to challenge myself to learn from my screw ups and at every turn, I'm interested in removing the unessential from my life in order to focus on the important things each and every day. (Sometimes, I do this very well. Other times, I fail fantastically). 

And so, I write about these things. 

The essays, stories and articles you'll read on my blog are meant to be shared, not prescribed. In other words, if you care about the same things I do (health, happiness and simple living) I invite you to join me on this journey. 

Perhaps you're the listicle type and prefer to know what topics I typically cover. In that case this should help: 

  1. Creativity
  2. Productivity 
  3. Simplicity
  4. Longevity

If you find some value in the things I share, I am truly grateful for that. Maybe we can grab coffee one day. Or, I can continue to write essays and articles and you can continue to keep reading them without ever exchanging words over coffee. I'm cool with that too. 

The more I learn and experience the more I believe this: There are no answers, only stories.

The work you'll find on this blog is an attempt to participate in that idea. My work may not be definitive or even accurate. But it will be clear.
